Vitiligo is a disorder in which white patches of skin appear on different parts of the body. This happens because the cells that make pigment (color) in the skin are destroyed. About 1 to 2 million Americans has Vitiligo and about half of them have noted pigment loss before age 20. Although there is no cure for Vitiligo, it can be treated. At Allure Cosmetic & Medical Spa, we use XTRAC to treat Vitiligo. XTRAC is the first excimer light therapy system that the FDA market cleared to treat this disorder. The XTRAC utilizes a specific wavelength of light to stimulate the re-pigmentation of the skin. Treatment sessions last about 5 minutes with the number of sessions varying from person to person. Please call us today to set up a consultation regarding your treatment for Vitiligo.
Lipoatrophy (replacing the lost facial volume) refers to an abnormal loss of body fat, most notably the fat immediately beneath the skin. Facial lipoatrophy is a common side effect of rapid weight loss, aging, smoking, and sun damage. While there is no cure for Lipoatrophy, there are treatment options. Here at Allure, we offer Sculptra and Radiesse, injectable sculpting agents that restore volume to the face by increasing the skins thickness in the area where it has been lost, helping to restore fullness to the face for a more natural appearance. Both Sculptra and Radiesse are composed of biocompatible and biodegradable synthetic products that have been widely used in dissolvable stitches, soft tissue implants, and other types of implants for years. The effects are long lasting, showing in clinical studies to increase skin thickness for up to 2 years. Please contact us for additional information.
Almost everyone has a few brown spots on their skin. Freckles, age or sun spots, and some birthmarks are just a few commonly referred to as pigmented lesions. For most people, these brown spots are easily ignored, however there are those that are quite conspicuous and can detract from your skin's natural beauty. Fortunately, birthmarks and other pigmented lesions can be lightened or removed with laser technology. Laser treatments are used to lighten the dark tone and even out the tone to match your skins natural color. At Allure, we offer a variety of different laser skin treatments. Give us a call to set up a consultation.

For many women and men, unwanted hair can be a nuisance. Imagine not having to deal with the tedium, frequency, expense, and pain of constantly getting rid of unwanted hair. Imagine a laser beam of light that can get rid of your unwanted hair, and keep it away for a long time. Until recently, the only recognized way for permanent hair removal was electrolysis, which is tedious, time consuming, uncomfortable and costly. Now, lasers offer a better solution for permanent hair reduction in less time and less discomfort. They safely remove unwanted body hair without damaging the delicate pores and structures of the skin. Allure offers a variety of laser hair removal systems. Give us a call today to see which one is best for you.
Rosacea is a chronic skin disease that causes redness and swelling, primarily on the face. Red lines appear when tiny blood vessels under the skin become enlarged. While there are a variety of treatment options available, many physicians consider laser skin treatment the best alternative. To remove visible blood vessels or reduce extensive redness, vascular lasers emit wavelengths of light that target tiny blood vessels just under the skin. Heat from the laser's energy builds in the vessels, causing them to disintegrate. Due to the chronic and relapsing nature of Rosacea, it is best to schedule a consultation with us to see what your best option is for treatment.
Leg and facial veins are bothersome at best, unattractive at worst. Now with cosmetic laser vein removal, you can make yourself look and feel a whole lot better. Using laser technology, light is delivered through the skin into the blood vessels making the walls collapse and the sealed vein is then broken down and absorbed within the body. Some patients even notice beneficial results right away. Call us at Allure Cosmetic & Medical Spa today to schedule your consultation.
Laser wart removal is a relatively new system to the way your doctor permanently removes warts. It is fast, effective and permanent. The laser goes deep into the pore where the wart has shown accelerated growth, zaps the bacteria out while cleaning the pore. The wart is immediately gone and there is little if any scarring. Call us at Allure Cosmetic & Medical Spa to schedule your consultation.
After years of squinting, laughing, frowning, smoking, and worrying, the skin around the eyes and forehead will often develop deep lines and wrinkles called "expression lines". A frequent concern is that they often make you look older, tired or stressed. Until recently, these advanced furrows have been difficult to treat. Now, by utilizing this FDA approved muscle-relaxing agent, wrinkles can be significantly reduced. Call us at Allure Cosmetic & Medical Spa for your Botox consultation today.
Sculptra is an injectable derma filler used to improve lines and facial wrinkles as well as giving a fuller appearance to the skin. Sculptra is composed of poly-L-lactic acid, a synthetic product. This compound is not harmful to the body. Because Sculptra is not made from human or animal sources, skin testing is not required. This factor makes Sculptra different from other products and is a key factor in its minimal allergy risk in patients. The visible results are almost immediate and can last up to 2 years, more than twice as long as collagen. For individuals seeking a method to restore facial features, or give skin a fuller appearance Sculptra offers many advantages worth looking into. Call us today to schedule your consultation.
Radiesse is an injectable facial filler used for the corrections of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. Radiesse contains microspheres made of a natural material called Calcium Hydroxlapatite in a water based gel carrier. Once injected, it immediately adds fullness to your face giving you visible results after the first treatment. Call us at Allure Cosmetic & Medical Spa for your Radiesse consultation today.
The effects of time, whether from exposure to the sun, or just the natural aging process, can cause your skin to lose its youthful, radiant glow resulting in the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and discoloration of your skin. Chemical peels can effectively brighten and smooth your complexion by removing the top layer of dull and damaged skin from your face that can cause visible imperfections. This allows new, vibrant skin to appear, allowing a natural, more youthful appearance to show through. Chemical peels can soften mild acne scars, soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, even out skin tone, reduce the prominent appearance of pores, and help smooth uneven, rough textured skin. Give us a call today to schedule a time for your revitalizing chemical peel today.
One of the most time proven methods of skin care is Microdermabrasion. It can dramatically improve skin tone and texture, even after just one treatment. Microdermabrasion is used to treat a variety of skin conditions such as acne, stretch marks, acne scars, age spots, enlarged pores, wrinkles, or Rosacea. Using surgical steel, diamond tipped wand, treatment can be performed on the face, neck, back, elbows, feet - just about anywhere! Microdermabrasion is a safe, non-surgical approach to skin care, and also helps to prepare the skin for other treatments. Give us a call to schedule your Microdermabrasion session today and begin looking younger tomorrow.
Photo Dynamic Therapy (PDT) is a treatment for patients with Actinic Keratoses (AK's) - rough textured, dry, scaly patches on the skin caused by over exposure to ultraviolet light. AK's are considered to be the first step in the development of skin cancer. Through PDT treatments, a topical solution called Levulan is applied to the AK. The solution is then absorbed by the AK cell where it is converted to a chemical that makes the cells extremely sensitive to light. When the AK cells are exposed to the blue light illuminator, a reaction occurs which destroys the AK cells. Call today to schedule an appointment with one of our dermatologists to see if Photo Dynamic Therapy is right for you.
Schlerotherapy is one of the most prevalent, safe and effective treatments for spider veins and smaller varicose veins. Veins are injected with a sclerosing agent using a tiny needle. This solution replaces the blood in the vein, causing irritation and corrosion to the walls of the vessel. The body then initiates the natural healing process and the vein begins to disappear. This treatment can also be integrated with Laser Therapy to treat unsightly veins on the face and legs. Call us today to schedule your consultation.
As we age, our skin succumbs to the effects of sun, gravity, and even our unique facial movements, to create lines and wrinkles that make us look older than we feel. Using advanced laser technology, a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser for skin resurfacing precisely removes outer layers of damaged skin to reveal the underlying skin which is softer, smoother, and younger looking. A CO2 laser allows your dermatologist to perform skin resurfacing procedures that reduce or eliminate more pronounced lines and wrinkles than similar treatments. This is done by removing deeper layers of damaged skin and stimulating the regeneration of healthy skin underneath. The procedure can be performed on specific areas -- such as around the mouth or eyes -- or over the surface of the entire face. The CO2 fractional laser will also tighten your skin, smooth your skin texture, and improve your complexion. Call us today to schedule a consultation to see if CO2 Laser Treatment is right for you.
Psoriasis is a non-curable skin condition that can cause painful, itchy, scaly, red splotches all over the body. Until recently, treatments for psoriasis were primarily topical ointments or creams, and phototherapy combined with medications. While these treatments have been used for some time, newer therapies harness the power of ultraviolet light in the form of the Excimer Laser. In minutes, a painless beam of UVB light is directed specifically to the affected area, shutting down rapid cell growth and lessening the thickness of the psoriasis patch. Results can last for several months. The laser can actually suppress the Psoriasis and put it into remission better than most topical treatments. There is no pain or discomfort during the treatment and no restrictions after treatment. It's also safer than other therapies because it is specific to the psoriasis sites only and the surrounding skin is not affected. Psoriasis laser therapy may also be covered by insurance. Call your carrier before treatment to verify coverage.
Alternatively, now there's a treatment that doesn't include topical creams, ultraviolet phototherapy, and oral drugs; one that will quickly allow you to resume a normal, active lifestyle. Pulsed Dye Lasers deliver an intense but gentle burst of light into selectively targeted areas of the skin. The light is absorbed by the selected blood vessels, destroying them and eliminating the vessels that support the growth of the psoriatic plaque, thus slowing down its growth. (This treatment is not covered by most carriers.) Then call us to set up your appointment.
